ANTI-RACISM. AN IDEA WHOSE TIME HAS COME...AGAIN....AND AGAIN...

It's been almost 30 years since I decided I'd use what I learned in advertising to fight racism. I don't rememember predicting where I'd be by now...but it's half-past 2020 and I'm still at it. HOW LONG WILL BLACK LIVES MATTER...THIS TIME? You could say I was a beneficiary of Black Lives Matter almost 50 years before it was born. Well, at least it was a BLM moment. There have been a few throughout our nation's heinous racial history. The one that changed (saved?) my life occured after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed by a white supremacist in Memphis, Tenessee, April 4, 1968. Just like after the televised murder of George Floyd, some folks went wild - shooting, bombing, burning, looting, and generally disturbing the peacful sleep of "white" America.
